The Tale of Havok 5
Following our last successful release by Lab 4, we secured another exclusive, this time from DDR and Julian Liberator, also known as The A & E Dept, whose acid techno monster, ‘The Rabbits Name Was…‘ had been smashing dancefloors and squat parties for months. This time, they changed the pace slightly with two dark, heavy analogue stompers. The track’s title, 3113, came from the number of copies that ‘The Rabbit’s Name‘ had sold up to that point. I believe the ‘City of the Fallen‘ vocal sample comes from the movie, Left Behind….but erm, don’t quote me on that !!!

This Side – Mad For It !

This etching pays tribute to Manchester and aligns with the overall title of the vinyl. ‘Mad for it‘ was a very popular phrase at the time, used by anyone going out and getting wrecked, and was also frequently overused by rock ’n’ roll scally, Liam Gallagher.
That Side – Royal Manchester Infirmary Project

This is a piss take on the name of the vinyl, The MRI Project, named after the Manchester Royal Infirmary. I believe the subtle wordplay refers to where you might end up after listening to this track.
